BI Survey
They:
  • Were able to make accurate forecasts, and to predict the future,
  • Used advanced BI and analytical capabilities,
  • Used BI across all internal organizational roles and externally with suppliers and customers,
  • Had automated decision making capabilities integrated in their Enterprise Resource Planning applications,
  • Were innovative with their use of technology for business gains, and
  • Achieved additional benefits as detailed in the study.
The study, using survey results and interview cases, also analyzes BI trends between 2008 and 2011. Here we uncover the application of some of the newest technology trends such as cloud computing and the application of real-time decision-making. With these finding the value proposition for BI and the BI entity becomes clear enough to build a business case to mobilize technology and teams for better decision making.
